Romtec Utilities has long been a trusted name in designing, manufacturing, supplying, and installing custom pump stations across the United States. Romtec works extensively in Texas because the state's rapid population growth and expanding municipalities create a high demand for reliable, scalable water infrastructure solutions.

With a deep understanding of Texas-specific regulatory requirements, and navigating local permitting processes, Romtec is well-equipped to deliver pumping solutions that meet both immediate and future capacity needs. Our team has delivered pumping solutions throughout Texas.

Clean Water Booster Skid for Van Alstyne, Texas

Romtec Utilities recently completed the design, manufacturing, and supply of a clean water booster skid for the City of Van Alstyne, Texas, as part of a broader effort to upgrade the city’s water infrastructure and support ongoing growth.

Located about 30 miles north of Plano, Van Alstyne is a growing city. With rapid development and increasing demand on public utilities, the city needed a reliable and efficient solution to improve water pressure and flow, particularly with the construction of a new water tower underway.

Romtec Utilities was contacted directly by the City’s Director of Public Works through a referral. The city needed a solution fast, and without a civil engineer on the project, they relied on Romtec to provide a complete, turnkey booster skid system from design through submittal approval.

Specifics

This quadplex booster skid was engineered to meet the city's specific flow demands, delivering 834 GPM at 74' TDH. It includes:

  • Quadplex end-suction pumps

  • Gate valves

  • Silent check valves

  • Pressure gauges

  • VFD control panels

Initially, the system will operate as a booster station, helping to maintain pressure and service reliability. After one year, it will be repurposed as a transfer skid, filling the new water tower from two above-grade storage tanks and distributing water through an existing main.

Van Alstyne’s forward-looking approach to water infrastructure makes it a prime example of how smaller cities across Texas are proactively preparing for population growth and increased demand.
