Romtec Utilities' pump stations are engineered specifically for each hospital site and its unique water conditions. Hospitals often handle stormwater, wastewater, and potentially other types of water like greywater. Romtec Utilities engineers systems that serve these specific conditions at hospitals.

Complete System Accessory Options for Hospital Locations

We provide a wide variety of system accessory options and specifications from grinder vaults to odor controls to meet many different types of performance requirements. With Romtec Utilities you can get sound attenuation, back-up generators, control buildings, and many other types of system accessories and options to meet the needs of your hospital facility.

Our Systems Included Multiple Levels of Redundancy for Continuous Operation

For pumps, electrical controls, level sensing, power supply, and other systems, Romtec Utilities offers fully redundant systems that operate even during extreme scenarios. Hospitals need to stay in full operation during all types of conditions, and the pumping systems for sewer or flood control will stay operational with our redundant designs.

We Design and Engineer with High Standards for Operator Safety

Romtec Utilities always emphasizes the use of safe and well-documented system components and designs. We specify and include safety features like reliable fall protection and safety grates, limited access to confined spaces, above-grade manifolds, isolated power service disconnects, and much more.

Meeting California Seismic Standards

California is at the forefront of seismic safety. Acute care hospitals throughout California are required to meet NPC-5 compliance level for utility infrastructure. It means that hospitals need to find a way to store enough water, sewer, and generator fuel to keep the hospital functional for 72 hours, in case of an earthquake. The new guidance is aimed to increase the level of resiliency for hospitals to operate through seismic earthquake events. As fluids are stored, Romtec Utilities has the ability to design a pumping system to continue the circulation of water.
